LUFTWAFFE FALLSCHIRMJAGER BADGE CASED
German Fallschirmjager badge also known as a paratroop badge. This was instituted by Herman Goring November 5, 1936. Awarded for completing 6 jumps. Badges by various makers width 41.5 mm - 43 mm x 53 mm - 54mm. Weight depending on materials as the war progressed 34 - just over 42 grams. Wreath was silver gilded , eagle gold gilded two piece construction.
This piece is an early tomback weight 41.99 grams and measures roughly 42.7 mm x 53.1 mm. Still has some gilding present as seen in photos. Correct maker mark C. E. Juncker Berlin S.W. 68. Has correct rivets, C -catch, Pin, and barrel hinge. Case is properly marked in very nice condition with usual handling marks. As photographs denote a very nice collectible.
